Kate's First Rodeo/JJ's Birthday

Well, last night was a lot of fun. We took Kate to her first rodeo and it was a great time. Actually, we were celebrating JJ's (Jane Hill) birthday! Happy Birthday JJ. She is so fun and crazy!!! Jenn, my business partner is her daughter-in-law and they are the same person! Heath definitely married like his mom!!! Kate loves to go to JJ's where she gets to eat cheetos, candy, cookies, and popsicles all day long! Needless to say when we pick her up, she is a maniac on a sugar high because we try to keep sugar on the down-low here at home. JJ is fabulous and we love her!!!

When I asked Kate what she liked best about the rodeo, she said the bulls!!! Wow! Watching those bull-riders makes me so incredibly nervous! To think that my dad used to ride bulls is amazing and very scary! When Foster was born he had to be in the Neonatal ICU for a week and dad told me that before the nurses took him down to that floor of the hospital, dad whispered in his ear, "you better cowboy up Foster, we have some elk meat to eat!" Needless to say, when dad does watch the television, it's always on bull-riding! Actually, my favorite movie of all times is 8 Seconds! I remember my freshman year of college my roomie got that for me for my birthday! I love it! Although Kate said she loved the bulls, I couldn't seem to get her to get on the pretend bull with me for a pic so us girls did, as you can see.

Pray for Titus!

Most of you know this as I have sent emails asking for prayers for Titus for quite some time now. Titus came into our lives on November 14 which is the day he and Foster were born. He was Foster's roomie in the Neonatal ICU. I have said this many times, but there is a reason that God gave us Titus as Foster's roomie. The number one reason is that Titus' family is absolutely the neatest family ever!!! I feel so blessed to know them and to be able to pray for Titus! We are also so excited because Paul and Becky, Titus' parents, are involved in many family ministries, one of which is Growing Kids Gods Way and we are currently taking that class with them. We are very excited to be a part of that and to gain so much wisdom through them. Please visit Titus' blog to learn more about his condition and to know what to pray for....www.thelifeoftitus.blogspot.com.

Brother and Sister Fun

Kate and Poppy!

Happy Father's Day!!

Needless to say, I have been a bit busy! Therefore I am just now finding the time to say a little something about my precious father, father-in-law, and husband! They are all wonderful men and fabulous fathers!!! My father spoils me to this day and I love him dearly for the man he is! He totally takes care of my mom and is such a gentleman!!! In addition, my dad is a wonderful Pops to my children...the kids live outside when they visit Pops and Kekie! They ride the tractor, go down to the river to see the dinosaur tracks, learn about the birds, ride in the hills to watch for deer and to see the cows. They also check out the lavender...my parents have a lavender farm down in the hill country! They love every minute of being outside and Pops loves it too! Kate and Foster also have a wonderful Poppy, Matt's dad. He loves on those two kiddos, spoils them rotten, and gets down on the floor with them to play! He is also a wonderful man who loves being with family and loves to take care of everyone!!! It is the cutest to see Poppy lift Foster in the air above his head while laying on the floor and Foster loves it too!
Matthew is such an example to me of gentleness and patience, two very important qualities when it comes to parenting and being a daddy. He is a wonderful father to Kate and Foster and helps me to be a better mother every day! Thank you DADS and GRANDADS!!!

Patience

Well, today we had fun playing outside and the great part is that we can all be out there, even Foster. He is older now so he can swing along with Kate. After telling Kate that she would need to wait just a minute before I could get over to swing her, she began to sing the song that we always sing to her when she has to wait, "have patience have patience, don't be in such a hurry, when you get inpatient you always start to worry, remember, remember that God is patient too so think of all the times that others have to wait for you!" Don't you love seeing those fruits!

Pictures

Yesterday was pretty full after grocery shopping and getting pictures made of the kiddos. I always tell Kate I will get her something if she smiles pretty so that she did and of course was eagerly awaiting her frosty from Wendy's. Actually she couldn't decide between a frosty or starbursts. Thankfully, she didn't have to pose with forty different outfits for our HR website. She was very glad about that. She wanted to go in when we arrived at Wendy's and after telling her that Foster was tired and we needed to get home, she said, "mommy, Foster can just stay in the car." I had to quickly explain that we wouldn't want to leave him in the car. I have attached a few pics that we took..I think they turned out pretty good!

Cousins..More Summer Fun!

Kate and cousin Zachary absolutely love one another. Although when they get together you would think we fed them ten bags of sugar!!! They turn wild!!!

I love my little boy!

Foster's Crawling

Well, Foster is officially crawling! Wow, what a difference there is between a girl and a boy. He is so rowdy...that is the best word I know to describe him. He is of course precious and sweet, but such a wiggle worm! My arm muscles are definitely feeling it especially after a Sunday at church when I wrestle with him during the entire service. Kate loves her little brother and is so much help! Now that he is getting around a little better and hands are everywhere, he is pulling her hair which she doesn't approve of, of course!
